Annie wearing her CatBib 😺

Thanks for the pic & comments, glad you're happy.
We find that quite a lot of cats are like your Annie and give up trying to catch birds any more after a few weeks of wearing the bib.

Regular CatBib

Totally recommend CatBib as it has stopped Merlin killing or injuring birds.
Plus the rainbow colour has helped him stand out more being a black cat.
Merlin at first wasn't happy with his bib but knows he can't go outside without it on.
Merlin lines up to have collar and bib on as routine every morning.
The bib is light weight and easy to clean.
Thank you CatBib Australia.

Thanks for the review. It's funnny how soon cat's come to associate having their bib put on with going outside to play, and sit patiently waiting for it. I heard this many times and it seems to be a common thread. Glad you're happy with it.

Good product

This works better than anything else we have so far tried, for our cat.
She managed to lose the first one but we’ve just bought another the same. Inthink it would be great if the Velcro pieces were a little bigger to make it harder for her to remove.

Thanks for commenting. We switched the Velcro from standard to a military spec a few years ago which reduced the loss of bibs significantly. To enlarge the Velcro patches further could possibly compromise the ability to seperate and release if the bib became snagged which is an important safety issue. We always reckon better a lost bib than a trappped cat but I understand it's frustrating so if it happens again just let me know and I'll send you a freebie.

Happy cat owner
Next best thing to keeping him inside

Fergus is a prolific hunter but has never brought home a bird while wearing the bib! That said, it clearly does not stop him catching mice (he has brought home A LOT of mice). While Fergus doesn't like wearing the bib, he has learned to tolerate it. It also makes him more visible around roads / driveways as we've gone with the 'rainbow' version.

We know the CatBib is more effective for preventing cats catching birds than small creatures like mice. Birds can fly away whereas mice can only run off giving the cat the chance to have another go. Fergus is probably sulking a bit because he can't catch birds anymore. Thanks for the review!

Cat Bib

I kept my cat inside for 2 weeks before trying the bib. Since he’s been outside with the bib he is much calmer and has been enjoying the fresh air, without hunting so intensely. He’s also stopped jumping the fence. It’s 2 weeks in and seems to be working.
